Is this food?

With of student's today seeing more and more of their daily food being processed, from a can, straight from the grocery shelf, are we creating a generation of students with a poor concept of what is healthy?

I hope that most of our students have been to a farm, or at least nearby, but I fear there are many that have not. I believe that to prevent the above cartoon from becoming a reality, we'll have to take our students on a field trip to a farm to see where real food comes from.

This will definitely be the time to pull out a Venn Diagram and compare fresh peas to canned peas with your class.

What about a taste test comparing canned and fresh corn?
