We had two days on PD last month where we talked a lot about different ways we can assess our kiddos and the different categories they fall into. Our group took the slips of paper we were given and put them into the growing flowers you see above. Each flower represented one of the three ways of assessing we were learning about:
The biggest thing is we need to stop focusing so much on students producing the exact same product as each other, as long as they each can prove they've leaned the same outcome.
This is all coming from the fact that very soon our board will begin using outcomes based report cards.
