End of Year Me

 Our very last Art project of the year this year was to decorate a paper dude to look like ourselves. Some of them turned out really well! I love the attention to detail in the orange and grey shirted dude on top of the pile.

The Last Friday

The last Friday of school one of our wonderful staff ( I suspect you Ms. Young), wrote this message on our white board. People are always writing anonymous notes like this.

Fathers Day 2015: Dad Rocks!

This years fathers day gift was not an original idea. I found it from Several sources on Pinterest.

I got my kiddos to paint some beach rocks and then the next day after they dried we wrote our messages on them to bring home for our dads. 

Special Education Trip

Every Year our special education team fund raises all year  and takes the students with designations on a special trip

This year they went to Edmonton.

After they came back the EAs went through ALL the pictures and together with the students made them each a poster and laminated it as a special keepsake to remember their fun.

I think this was awesome!

Classdojo Swag

A few days after I got my GoNoodle Swag, I got an awesome package from my OTHER favourite resource, ClassDojo!

I REALLY REALLY hope I get to wear this in a new school this fall. Fingers crossed something falls into my lap in NS.

Literacy Beach Party

This June our school had a really awesome literacy carnival. 

I'd never seen anything like it before.

If your school has a nearby beach (ours was across the street from our high school), then you HAVE to try this in the final semester/quarter to kick off your summer reading program!

How it works is the students are free to swim as much as they want, but if they want any of the free ice cream and popcorn they have to read some books, Teachers and EAs are nearby to read with or to. For every five books you read (this was younger grades, I 'm not sure of the rules for older kiddos) you get a voucher to go up the beach and claim your treat.
